COVID-19 UPDATE
The Library encourages you to observe physical distancing and the limitations on numbers in enclosed space requirements when using study spaces during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Library Student Group Study rooms are open with restricted numbers.
Please:
- do not exceed the number of people displayed on signage for each room
- maintain the required physical distancing between people
- restrict the number of people you gather with in the open study spaces
- do not exceed the number of people displayed on signage for each booth

The Library provides a variety of study spaces for your use. Each area is designed to meet different study needs, and has accompanying requirements.
KNOW YOUR STUDY SPACES
Open study areas
- Individuals up to medium-sized groups for study purposes (see Library Code of Conduct).
- Moderate noise not heard beyond your group.
- Phones on silent.
- Covered food and drink.
- Please place rubbish in bins.
Student group study rooms
- Small to medium sized groups (2-8 people) for study purposes (see Booking conditions and Library Code of Conduct).
- Moderate noise not heard beyond your room.
- Bookings take preference over walk-in use.
- Phones on silent.
- Covered food and drink.
- Please place rubbish in bins.
Quiet study areas
- Groups of 2 – 3 people.
- Whispered conversations only.
- Phones on silent.
- Covered food and drinks.
- Please place rubbish in bins.
Silent study areas
- Individual study only.
- No food, covered drinks only.
- Phones on silent.
- Please move to another area for all conversations.
- Please place rubbish in bins.
