November 2021 System Maintenance
Western ITDS and our external vendors undergo regular, scheduled IT upgrades and maintenance to ensure platform security and continuous improvement to all the Library digital services. Regular maintenance periods are scheduled to minimise the impact on the vital operations to all students and staff. Thank you for your understanding, while we undertake this essential system maintenance.
System notifications for this month are:
29th November - Research Data Management Planning tool
Timeframe: 8:00 AM 29 Nov - 3:00 PM 1 Dec
From Monday 29 November to Wednesday 1 December, the Research Data Management Planning tool will undergo a system upgrade. During this time, you will be unable to view or access content on this platform.

22 November 2021 - Library Search Box
The Library search interface will undergo important system improvements on 22 November to upgrade authentication and enhance the search results you receive.
We are working to minimise any impact to clients during the upgrade, however there may be some momentary delays if you are conducting a search at the time of the upgrade.
Please be advised, Saved Searches and Search History may be lost in the process of the upgrade. We recommend taking a copy of anything that you need to keep in these features prior to 22 November.

24th & 29th November - Library website, Library Study Smart Website
Timeframe: 6:00 PM to Midnight
Maintenance: Data Centre maintenance
During the maintenance window, there is no expected downtime, however brief periods of performance degradation of less than 60 seconds may occur when using the Library website or Library Study Smart website.
Wednesday 24th November: Interruption to off campus access
On Wednesday 24th November, EzProxy will undergo system updates. Intermittent interruptions are expected when accessing Library resources remotely between 8:00-10:00 AM.
