In response to the latest developments, Library services continue to evolve.  See what's new:


Digital Service Desk.

We are progressively activating our Digital Service Desks, with the first ones live today, 31 March.

What is the Digital Service Desk?  During operational hours, approach the Digital Service Desk to live-zoom with a library staff member.  No login is needed, simply say 'hello' to the face on the screen at the service desk where the sign is located, and someone will respond.  If you want us to see you, you'll be asked to open up the web cam.  Remember to close it when your session ends.


Suspension of requests from 31 March 2020

To assist with measures in place to limit the spread of COVID-19, the Library materials requesting processes will be suspended from 31 March 2020.

What this means for you:

New holds and intercampus delivery requests will not be able to be placed from 2:00pm 31 March.  Where hold/intercampus requests have already been placed, processed by the Library and the item was available, these will be made available for pickup at the location you nominated, within the advertised opening hours. Please watch for your availability notice if you have not already received it.  Other outstanding requests and waiting list requests will be cancelled.

Document Delivery requests. Postgraduate students and staff who are eligible for this service will no longer be able to request print material through Document Delivery. You can still request journal articles and book chapters, which will be emailed to you. Please see the Document Delivery website for more information.


Library Group Study Rooms closed.

To assist students with complying with the current COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, and limits on numbers of people in enclosed spaces, the Library Student Group Study rooms have been closed as of Monday 30 March 2020.

Our booking page will be updated shortly to reflect this change.  We appreciate your patience as the changes are put in place, and regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Our open study spaces in the Library remain available for individual study between the hours of 10:00am - 2:00pm Monday to Friday.

Outside these times, you may wish to use another designated Study Hall location on your campus.
