Prime Ministerial Collection
Welcome to the Whitlam Institute's Prime Ministerial Collection. In September 2001, the Honourable Edward Gough Whitlam, AC QC, opened his filing cabinets to the Whitlam Institute. His physical collection of papers, diaries and photographs is being progressively placed on the world wide web. Here you will find a wealth of information to help illuminate the path of modern Australian democracy. Mr Whitlam has been contributing to policy and polity for more than 50 years, and continues to do so. As we digitise more of this unique collection of Australian social and political history, it will provide an extraordinarily rich and diverse overview of Australia since the early 1940’s. Whilst we are working on this new e-collection, we are also transferring material from the old site. If you are unable to locate the documents, images or information you are seeking here, please go to the Whitlam Institute homepage. The search bar "E-collection" on the right hand side of the screen will access the old site where you may be able to locate the information you seek. Enjoy these wonderful insights from Australia’s Elder Statesman | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
