UWS Research Repository
The
UWS Research Repository is a digital archive of UWS research output. It contains UWS research output in a single, easily searchable site, accessible to the global research community. The repository provides a sustainable and maintainable long term home for UWS research output.
The UWS Research Repository contains two separate collections: UWS Research and UWS Theses. Users can search either or both collections. Each is searchable by author, title, subject and/or publication date. The Research collection is also searchable by Field of Research (FOR) code.
The UWS Research Repository
- Is freely accessible and available globally (within copyright restrictions);
- Is searchable through Google Scholar and other search engines;
- Will retrieve full citations, a brief abstract, and where possible, links to the full text of the publication. Access via these links requires standard authentication as a UWS staff/student;
- Will assist with increasing citation counts to UWS research due to increased exposure to the world-wide research community. Higher citation counts equate to higher research impact. This is important for measuring the academic merit of research which in turn can facilitate greater funding opportunities and enhanced employment and promotional prospects;
- Will enable researchers to meet recommendations of funding bodies to deposit research output in an institutional or subject-based repository;
- Will enhance opportunities for national and international collaborative research.
