UK Patent Office provides full text of patents back to 1988.
United States Patent and Trademark Office includes full text of all patents back to 1790. From 1976, they are fully searchable, prior to this only indexes are searchable.

Patent Lens is a freely available site indexing patents from over 70 countries and is searchable independent of language.
