Using Journal Citation Reports

• Access JCR via the e-resources menu.
• Select JCR Science or Social Science Edition (simultaneous search not available)
• To view the journals in a given field by impact factor
  • Select view a group of journals by 'subject category' (from the drop down menu)
  • Select the discipline closet to your area
  • Leave radio button below on View Journal Data but sort by Impact Factor (select from dropdown menu)
  • Submit
  • A list of journals in that field, ranked in ascending order will be retrieved.

• To search for a specific journal, click that radio button, then submit.
  • Enter the journal title and search. If the journal is listed in JCR a listing will be retrieved.
  • To ascertain the journal's rank within a subject field, click into the journal title
  • Within Journal Information, click into the tab Journal Ranking
