Obtaining Materials
Once you have located references to the resources you need, you then need to retrieve the actual resource. Often it will be available from wherever you have located the reference to it, for example a full text article in a database, or the book held by the library. If this is not the case the following options are available to you.
From within UWS
- The Library holds an extensive collection of online resources, available 24/7 through an authentication system.
- If an item you need is in hardcopy at another campus it can be obtained using our intercampus request system.
- Print based journal articles will be scanned and emailed to you and books will be delivered to the campus of your choice for collection at the service desk.
- Reference material, reserve items and 3 Day Loans cannot be transferred intercampus.
Staff and research students may borrow up to 40 items at one time for a period of 4 weeks with two optional renewals (conditions apply).
The Library website provides a comprehensive guide to
borrowing conditions.
