EndNote
IMPORTING CITATIONS
Citations for items in the library catalogues or citations in databases
can be imported into your EndNote library.
References can be imported in three ways:
Direct Exporting
Citations can be exported to your EndNote library from search results
retrieved via the Library Search Box on the UWS Library website. For
more information on this process, see the
UWS Library EndNote X6
training notes
Filter Files
Where direct export is not available many databases allow citations to
be saved in a particular format and be imported into EndNote with a
Filter File. Filter Files are used to enable EndNote to 'read' the saved
information so it can import the data into the appropriate fields. For
more information please see the
UWS Library EndNote X6
training notes
Further support is available on the EndNote website at
Import Filters.
Connection Files
It is possible to access records in some databases directly though
EndNote.
If you wish to search the Library Catalogue from within EndNote please
download the
UWS Library catalogue connection file.
For more information please see the
UWS Library EndNote X6
